Plasmacure is a fast-growing MedTech scale-up focused on the treatment of complex wounds. Complex wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers affect 5-10% of elderly globally. They can profoundly impact the lives of those affected. They also create a huge burden to healthcare systems overall, making-up 2-4% of budgets. Solving the issue of complex wounds and preventing they become chronic, is a massive challenge and is one that Plasmacure is taking on.
Our patented technology, PLASOMA, uses “cold plasma” to accelerate the wound-healing process. In fact, our latest clinical trial (RCT) shows that PLASOMA helps close 2.5x more complex wounds than standard wound care. Our vision is to “Make PLASOMA the advanced therapy of choice for complex wound care professionals and patients worldwide.” Plasmacure has received the “Promising Care” designation in The Netherlands and is rolling out PLASOMA locally and overseas through partnerships with healthcare providers, insurers and distributors.
We’re seeking a (medior) Marketing Manager with fire in the belly to build and strengthen our brand leadership in the complex wound‑care space. You will design and execute branding, PR, content, stakeholder engagement and leadgen strategies that position our technology as the clinical and commercial standard. You will work cross‑functionally with clinical, commercial, regulatory and distributor teams to drive awareness, credibility and adoption among clinicians, payers and patients.
Key responsibilities
· Brand strategy & management
o Develop and own the brand positioning, claims & messaging framework and visual identity tailored to clinical and patient audiences.
o Develop and activate a program towards building a leading brand, including content, events/congresses, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), etc.
o Ensure consistent brand execution across all channels, materials and touchpoints.
o Track brand health metrics and report on brand equity, awareness and perception.
· PR & content marketing
o Create and execute PR/content programs to increase thought leadership and clinical credibility (product launches, case studies, trial results, awards).
o Build relationships with healthcare and trade media & communities
o Lead generation and nurture campaigns with targeted content and performance tracking.
· Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement
o Identify, recruit and manage clinical KOLs and champions across specialties (e.g., vascular surgery, wound care nursing, endocrinology).
o Develop advisory boards, speaker programs, and collaborative content (presentations, publications, webinars).
· Distributor activation & merchandising
o Design distributor enablement programs: sales collateral, training modules, product demos, and launch toolkits.
o Set merchandising standards and point-of‑care materials for clinic/hospital adoption.
o Monitor distributor performance, collect market feedback, and optimize support materials to drive uptake.
· Direct-to‑consumer (DTC) marketing
o Plan and run patient-facing campaigns to raise awareness of complex wound care options and drive appropriate pathways‑ to care.
o Manage digital channels (SEO, SEM, social ads), patient education resources, and community outreach.
o Measure and optimize DTC conversion metrics in collaboration with commercial and clinical teams.
· Analytics & budget management
o Define KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and report ROI to leadership.
o Manage marketing budgets and agency/partner relationships.
Qualifications
· 4–6 years marketing experience (MedTech, medical devices, consumer healthcare, or pharmaceuticals preferred).
· Experience in B2B and ideally also B2C healthcare marketing, preferably with complex clinical products.
· Demonstrated experience in brand building, PR, content marketing and KOL management.
· Familiarity with distributor/channel marketing, events, and point-of‑care merchandising.
· Strong copywriting and content development skills; ability to translate clinical data into clear messaging.
· Experience with marketing tools such as Google Ads, SEO tools, marketing automation, CRM, CMS
· Excellent stakeholder management, presentation skills and the ability to work cross-functionally‑.
· A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Communications or related field; advanced degree a plus.
· Understanding of regulatory and compliance constraints in healthcare communications.
